From quoted odds to a probability model.
HANGAR LAB / MATH & VERIFICATION
Enter every outcome in one market. See the implied probabilities, the quoted margin and a proportional no-vig estimate.
How the calculation works
Implied probability qᵢ = 1 / decimal oddsᵢ Book percentage = 100 × Σqᵢ Overround = 100 × (Σqᵢ − 1) Normalized probability pᵢ = qᵢ / Σqᵢ Fair decimal oddsᵢ = 1 / pᵢ
American +150 converts to decimal 2.50; -200 converts to 1.50. Fractional 3/2 converts to 2.50. For positive American A, decimal = 1 + A/100; for negative A, decimal = 1 + 100/|A|. For fractional a/b, decimal = 1 + a/b.
Worked example: 1.90 / 1.90
Each side implies 52.6316%. Together they total 105.2632%, an overround of 5.2632 percentage points. Proportional normalization gives 50% each and fair decimal odds of 2.00.
If the total is below 100%, the page labels it an underround. It does not claim a guaranteed opportunity: input completeness, price availability, settlement rules and execution costs still matter.
Why this is separate from a game verifier
These inputs are market prices, not seeds or hashes. To reconstruct a revealed Hangar game round, use the provably fair verifier. To understand game return, read RTP, house edge and volatility.
